Does anyone in our management have any brain activity???
Chico announced today that the team has waived captain Mike Casselman and he is now available to any ECHL team to pick up. The team was noticably better with Mike on the ice.
At this point, I would say Nederlander is trying to give lessons on how to NOT run a business. The next thing you know they'll have Elvis from the commercial's come out and play.
I'm very unhappy with the direction of this team right now. It seems like either nobody in management knows what they're doing or nobody cares... |

Even though I like Mike Casselman as a person, as a player he is not getting it done. If he was a player-coach,we might be able to carry him but he looked four steps behind everyone in Peoria. At least Don Biggs was as good as everyone else a few years ago. Maybe the owners will use his salary to bring back a Nick Bootland who can play the level of the league and work with the young players. |

I disagree.
I think on most nights, Casselman was the best player we had on the ice. He was certainly the best stickhandler and at times seemed like he was the only one who would carry the puck up the ice instead of dumping it with little chase.
I'm very frustrated with this team right now, and this move doesn't do a thing to alleviate it. |

| Until we find out the story, I dont think Nederlanders are to blame. I think Chris wavied him not the owners of the building. Who knows at this point. This hopefully means Bachausz is ready to rejoin the team or we will be with less scoring power then we already are. |

| It's rumored that there was a falling out after Saturday's loss. The next question is will Cassy go up north to the Stars, or the other Cyclones team in Greenville? |

What was the falling out about?
And should Chico be making emotional decisions about the team? This is why I absolutely hate having the GM and coach being the same person. That's what got Sarje and Biggs traded for nearly nothing, because Ron Smith got PO'd and decided to show them who's boss.
If you want to make a trade that you think will better the team and it fails, so be it, but if you drop somebody because you have a big ego that shows a lack of professionalism. |

I agree cycfan.
The only reason I thought Mike was going to come back and play one more year was because of Chris. ?? |
