Clones Acquire Jade Galbraith Fraser Clair sent to Dayton in exchange for Jade Galbraith
Cincinnati, OH-Cincinnati Cyclones coach and general manager Chris Cichocki announced today that the team has acquired right winger Jade Galbraith from the Dayton Bombers in exchange for Fraser Clair.
Galbraith is in his second professional season. Last year as a rookie, Galbraith scored 74 points (27g, 47a) for the Kelly Cup Champion, Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies. This season, Galbraith has played 20 games with the Florence Pride and Dayton Bombers. In those games, Galbraith has 11 points on four goals and seven assists.
Clair is also in his second professional season. He split last season between the Lexington Men O’ War (13g-14a-27pts in 52 games) and the American League’s Utah Grizzlies (0g-1a-1pt in 15 games). In 23 games with the Clones, Clair recorded three goals and four assists for seven points.
In order to get quality you have to give up quality.Fraser was a hard worker but we need someone who can put a shot on goal. You hate to lose a good guy like Mike Casselman, but look at the job that Tyler is doing. My guess is we will probably lose another player or two to get some defensive help.
Two goals from the new guy tonight. There are a couple Dayton folks on ITB who seemed convinced that they got the better of the deal. To them, Galbraith doesn't give 100%. Who knows? Wait and see but I think two goals in his first game and first star honors are a good sign.
