http://www.soapboxmedia.com/features/cyclone.aspx 9,000 a game dosnt that sound good? Now they just draw flies during the week and garbage for Friday and Saterday nights for the lame promotional Obama bobbleheads or ByeBye Bush night. A UC marketing student can come up with better marketing then this, oh lets not forget MMA night, what are they gonna do? slide out an octagone between periods? I dont see the Reds advertising a Bengals night or mma night? You dont plug somthing thats much hotter then you. Please dont tell me they are bringing in Team Gurgel from West Chester, no offense but if they dont bring in Dana White and a few low level UFC fighters , why even bother. |

BTW ... that Panthers banner you made in 1993 that hung from the rafters at the Gardens went for $590 on e-bay. Who knew when that was hanging from the rafters that some day that would be used for a deposit on Reds tickets. |

Oh christ, the retards over at Heckler's Grove finally got bored playing with their two other friends and now they're migrating over here. Put an end to this quickly, James. |

At this point I'm ready for Jim to lock these topics out.I don't write in on the Dayton sites,I didn't write in on the Duck's sites when they were around.I've never been to the Heckler's Grove site and if this is the type posts-I have no plan to go there.I've had some disagreement with the Dayton folks at times, but 95% of the time even they behave themselves. This is just plain crybabies trying to ruin the hockey we choose to support. If you don't like us-go back to Heckler's Grove and I will choose to ignore you.AMEN |

Honestly, all of these childish posts are coming from both sides.
It's idiotic for everyone to be arguing with each other. I know most of the people here are older than myself but yet they sure don't act like it.
If you don't have anything good to say about the cyclones on a cyclones specific message board, do everyone a favor and just don't post. I really don't see how hard that is. |

I have to chime in on all this childish jiber jash. Why don't all of you combine all your efforts in saving this franchise, I truely think its in trouble, when can't generate 2000 fans during the week and can't even get 3000 fans for the week ends the franchise is about out the door.. Once this team is gone it will be a cold day in hell when another wants to come to Cinci.. How many teams have come and gone from here???? I have only been in Cinci for 10 years and I believe we are on the 4th. So you might want to put all your efforts you can in saving this team, instead of bashing each other. |

A number of people want to see the Cyclones fail. They have it stuck in their head that if the Cyclones FAIL and another team comes to town under a NEW NAME, all will be good with hockey again.
IT WON'T.
Donnie, I realize that the Ducks were important to you- and the Railraiders attempt was as well, but at what point do you let it go? I did. I support the team that we have. (and supported BOTH- when we had both)
9,000 a night sounds great- so RICH and last year during the playoff run, it was fun. Right now, with the economy in the crapper, I just don't see that happening. More than ever, people are living paycheck to paycheck. For those of you that aren't CONGRATS TO YOU, but the very limited expendable income at my house has dropped, and I haven't made it to HALF as many games as I did last year, and I was driving down from C-bus last year to watch. |

The vast majority of the people on this board have and do support the team and regularly attend games. What we don't need is this infestation of bitterness and stupidity displayed by the handful of people that actually post over at HG to come here. I am actually glad that HG exists, for a long it kept all the idiots in one place and allowed the Cyclones fans space from their crying and bitching after the Ducksraiders lost the so-called "hockey war". The drama that they stir up and lies that they propagate weren't found on these parts until recently from what I can tell.

Completely normal to average over 10 posts a day. You're not sitting around trying to cause problems at all. Move along folks, nothing to see here. |

Let me say 1 thing really fast. The old Cyclones are the old Cyclones, its the past, you can be nostalgic and say you miss it but the truth is I don't miss the past, its the future and the new Cyclones are here and we need to support them.
All of those who want the Clones to "fail", do you even like hockey? Because right now the only 2 teams in Cincinnati for hockey are the QC Steam and the Cyclones, you have to deal with it. Don't wanna support the Cyclones, go to a Steam game, they are a good team too. I go to both teams because I love hockey. I went to Ducks games when they were around because I love hockey.
So to put it to an end for me(sorry for any language you may imagine) I say to all those who want the Clones to fail, **** OFF! If you feel that way don't come here and try to start **** with those of us who are real HOCKEY FANS. |

The Ducks and RR attempt mattered more to the fans than they did to me. I didn't lose any sleep over it when the Ducks suspended operations and the RR fell short during the ticket drive. I was disappointed for the fans because I knew how much many of them loved the Ducks and wanted to see the AHL remain in Cincinnati, but for me personally it didn't matter. I knew I'd have no problems whatsoever being able to do what I'd been doing with the Ducks somewhere else. That being the case, there was nothing to let go. It didn't bother me.
At the same time, when you had Cyclones fans gloating about it, that part was a little disappointing. You would have thought after losing the Cyclones twice they would have understood what the Ducks fans were going through. |

It's history...........and I learned to let go!! Have you??
Glad the banner came to good use, than thrown in the dumpster! All Banners became the property of the Cyclones to do with as they saw fit. I am really glad to at least know where one went. The only ones I was ever reimbursed for were the retirement number banners. (and that was only for cost of materials..........I NEVER submitted cost for the time spent!!!) |

You did a great job with those banners.
Had the Cyclones fans shown some class when the Ducks game to town it would be a totally different environment today. They didn't and now they're paying for their actions. |
