What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Even though the IHL has granted an "expansion franchise" to Evansville already, one would have to think that the IHL isn't exactly sending out good vibes to perspective owners.

Dayton already has new owners and Flint is an ongoing disaster-they just fired their ushers to save a few bucks.

Quad City has a clause in its building lease which mandates that the IHL have at least 7 teams. The IHL is very aware of this.

It will be a very interesting off season.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the USHL (top US junior league) try to land a team there. With USA Hockey getting $$$ from the NHL and their new player development model, they are talking about expanding to 20 teams (at 14 now) "in the very near term". Evansville is in the USHL's geographic footprint, is the type of town that the USHL does well in, and is much cheaper to operate than a pro team...

If you haven't seen a USHL game, check out a game in Indianapolis. It's a very entertaining brand of hockey and you get to watch guys that have been/will be selected in the NHL Entry Draft, including first round picks.

Just to back up what you're saying:

We don't yet see players jumping directly from the USHL to the NHL like we do with Canadian junior leagues, but by age 21, it's difficult to argue with the results: on a per-team basis, the 12-team USHL produces as many NHL players as the 60-team CHL.
