Former Cincinnati Mighty Ducks center Zenon Konopka, now with the Tampa Bay Lightning, led the NHL in penalty minutes (265), fighting majors (33) and won a league-best 62.3 percent of his faceoffs in 72 games.

Hey Don, who is going to be the next Tampa Bay Lightening head coach? If they ask me nicely, I will take it.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

ZINGER!!!!!

It will depend on who the new GM is. Anaheim assistant-GM David McNab and Detroit assistant-GM Jim Nill would be great choices. Both deserve an opportunity. But you know how it goes which means some retread like Doug Risebrough will probably get the job.

Nashville assistant coach Brent Peterson, former Cincinnati Mighty Ducks head coach Brad Shaw, former Cyclones defenseman Bob Boughner, former Flyers head coach John Stevens and former Kings and Blues head coach Andy Murray would be on my short list of head coaching candidates.

Bob Boughner is the head coach & co-owner of the Windsor Spitfires. I doubt he'd leave that job.

Hockey is life. All the rest is just small stuff.
