HAMILTON, ON - Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today that the club has assigned forward Maxime Lacroix to the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL from the Bulldogs.

That's one down. Bridgeport sent two D-men down yesterday to west coast teams but Motherwell stayed. Good news is they are playing Hershey who set all sorts of records in the AHL this year. First game is tonight and the fourth game is Sunday. Bridgeport could be out of it by then and Motherwell able to return by next week's home games if he chooses. Not sure who owns his rights now and if he can be assigned to Cyclones or if they can recall him.

Mayer looks like he will be up there a while. Milwaukee plays Chicago and the fourth game is next Monday. That series should be a lot closer than Bridgeport/hershey however.

There is a "GOD" lol.
Now send back the others.
Better late than never, but I think it would have been fun to see Max play against the StingRays.

Don't see Motherwell's name on the Bridgeport game report from their OT loss tonight... maybe he's already on his way back. Just glad to see Lacroix back to add some firepower :]

Got the laptop hooked up to the bigscreen for the B2 broadcasts... and Charlotte has use of a good camera crew so it'll be a good view!! Yay!

We're gonna beat them pretty soundly I have a feeling.

Yeah, it's a better picture than most of the other teams in the league. It's good like ours, but more cameras and about as clear as B2 gets.
Way better than watching a game from Johnstown or Elmira where it was fuzzy and distant with no close-up angles.

if Motherwell didn't play we could assume that he is heading back to Cincy I would think. Also very nice to have LaCroix back to add another offensive weapon and we need help on the PP so this is very good news. We will beat Charlotte fairly easily i would think so get ready to play i think the Reading Royals in the American Conference Finals

Wooah- slow down.
Lets take one series at a time. I hope we will beat Charlotte, but lets concentrate on them first. It's going to be a very physical series, and I hope we have what it takes to counter that aspect.
After we beat them we can think about Reading

We are a very physical team so I think we will be able to counter that just fine. We will be fine- we have more speed than Charlotte and we are just as, if not more, physical than they are, and Motherwell will be returning after Game 2, which gives us even more of a physical presence. Don't worry about this round, we will be just fine. It will be over real quick

As"it will be over real quick", why don't we just cancel the games and wait for the Florida/Reading winner? Bet some Kalamazoo and Elmira fans felt that confident too.

Don't agree on physical question. The two games here they were much bigger. Our defense is fairly small sized. Checkers took care of Toledo's size very easily and we had trouble with their size all year.

By the way, anyone got any word on Josza"s availability? Also--where is your source on Motherwell coming back after game 2? He could if Bridgeport loses in four if he wants. Don't know what his contract says.

Sounds good to me, but I heard that Charlotte was alot more physical than the Cyclones and if they got the Checkers in the play-offs, it could be a real problem

Charlotte pushed us around when we played them here. MUCH more physical than us and a good bit bigger as a team.

If the series goes long, it'll get tough. I'll betcha their game plan will be to play rough and wear us down, and that could very likely work.
These guys aren't seeded number 1 for nothing. They are physical and they can score. I personally think its the worst matchup we could have gotten.

From what I've seen, Florida fans were scared of Elmira, and ELmira fans were scared of Florida.

Wings fans were concerned about Reading, and Reading was concerned about Kalamazoo.

Those races down the stretch were just toooooo tight, and you could tell there were very small gaps between the Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams. It's just really, really wide-open in the American. The regular season was just an exercise in nothing, at this point.

Nobody's going to win the conference so much as survive it, and I bet the winner comes out and thrashes the National winner this season.

I think the biggest problem is a lack of PP with a few of our offensive guys up in the AHL playoffs. Honestly, I've started to refer to it as the "Penalty Play."

I would imagine that Charlotte has a few of their AHL guys down so this team is going to be much more physical and talented. We barely survived a drawn out five game series with South Carolina. I don't know how we make it out of this series if it goes the distance. We may not have enough bodies. Plus our affiliates are in their own playoff situations so AHL bodies is a luxury we don't have.

I'd love to see the guys pull it off again with smoke and mirrors, but I feel like we're going to run into a scenario like we did last year against South Carolina where we had more guys injured than healthy at the end of the sweep.

I hope I'm wrong, but on paper, that is the situation we have right now.

That's funny in our area we call the PP, the power kill.

Let's just hope the boys take 1 game at a time, no make that 1 period at a time. With boys returning, it will give Chuck some options.

I can't wait to see who the college goalie is? We are in for a battle no matter who we play, so let's go boys. We will be listening over the weekend and we will be there to cheer next week.

Assuming that everyone on the roster for the last game against SC is healthy, and we do get LaCroix back, who do we sit? To me, Heidinger seems to be a smart player - ala Eggo. He just seems to be in the right place at the right time. Ortiz brings a lot of speed and hustle. Brett Robinson hasn't shown much offensively, but he is pretty tough and scrappy.

I would, if i were Chuck Weber, sit Ortiz and go from there. I don't know who else out of that group we could sit. If we had to I would say Hedinger because of lack of experience but too much talent and depth is certainly a good problem to have.

As far as my series series will be over real quick prediction, i just think this team is more talented than Charlotte and we know how to win close games- see the South Carolina series
