Just watched this documentary on the 2004-2005 Rockford IceHogs of the (then) UHL.
The film gives a very candid look at a minor league hockey team on the road (Ahem, very R-Rated in terms of language). One of the main subjects is Coach Steve Martinson, who served the 09/10 season as Head Coach of the Elmira Jackals. They have live mics on Coach Martinson, select players, and officials. One of the most memorable scenes involves IceHogs forward Jason Ralph harassing shut-out NHL players such as Chris Chelios.
A bit on the technically deficient side, but for all of its technical flaws there's still a hell of a lot to enjoy. In some ways, it's kind of a Minor League 101 class. Highly recommended for folks on this board.
