What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I don't- look at the travel amount we would be facing. I can see the ECHL schedule now: Friday in Kalamazoo Saturday in Cincinnati Sunday in Chicago Now if they could get Ft. Wayne in, a division of Chicago, Ft Wayne, Toledo and Kalamazoo would be a good grouping. |

In the hypothetical world where Fort Wayne joins the ECHL, should Chicago, FTW, K-zoo and Toledo be put in a division that would move Cincinnati to the new Atlantic Division (former East division) which contains Elmira, Reading and Wheeling. Personally I think that would be much worse. Luckily, I don't foresee Fort Wayne joining the ECHL anytime soon. 6 hours to Chicago is much better than Reading and Elmira on a regular basis. |

Here's an article from the Trib with some quotes from Kevin Roeder.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/northnorthwest/ct-x-n-echl-20100625,0,51815.story
Kevin Roeder, a Glenview resident who just finished his rookie season playing for the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones, said that while most of the league's teams are based in smaller towns, they have great fan support and "it's a great league for development (of players)."
A graduate of New Trier High School and Miami University of Ohio, Roeder was called up briefly to the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch this year but returned to the Cyclones, which won the league's Kelly Cup championship and is affiliated with the Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens. |

I should have mentioned the name your team contest they are having.
http://www.nameyourhockeyteam.com/vote/
While none of the nominated names are really winning, the team name with the largest percentage of YES votes is the IceHawks. Just what hockey needs, another team with ICE in the name. |
