Former Cincinnati Swords left wing Craig Ramsay has been named the fifth coach in Atlanta Thrashers history. Ramsay began his pro career in 1971-72 at the Gardens with the Swords, recording five goals and seven assists in 19 games before being called up to the Buffalo Sabres where he spent his entire 14-year NHL playing career.
In Atlanta, Ramsay is reunited with his first pro roommate, former Swords and WHA Stingers star, Rick Dudley, who was recently promoted to general manager of the Thrashers. |
