In their first season as members of the CIFL, the Cincinnati Commandos will take on the Wisconsin Wolfpack for the league championship this Saturday at Cincinnati Gardens at 8:00pm.

The Commandos and Wolfpack split their two regular season games this year, with the host team coming out the victor each time. Cincinnati won 48-26 in Week 4 and Wisconsin won 45-21 on May 29, the last game of the regular season for both teams that saw the Commandos play without QB and former UC Bearcat Ben Mauk due to an ankle injury.

Parking at Cincinnati Gardens is free. Tickets are still available.

I have my tickets. If you haven't been, they have put together a great team for their first season. They went 10-1 during the regular season and beat the Miami Valley Silverbacks in the playoffs last week.

What is great about the team is that they have recruited a lot of local talent from UC, Miami, and some of the local high schools.

The downfall is that it is a very small league with only 5 teams now (Marion folded during the season). Hopefully next year the CIFL will grow or the Commandos can find a spot in a larger league (like the IFL or AIFA).

More info on the league here:
