I'm sure some people laugh at the Florence Freedom baseball team, but I hope the Cyclone management takes a hard look at the way they run the team.My wife and I went down to their game last night and it sure reminded me of the old Garden's Cyclone days.First, the first 500 kids got free backpacks-and these weren't bad looking packs!Second, during the game they had these guys dressed in oversized mascot type outfits called "Zooperstars" that came on the field, acted nutty, and had everyone laughing.Third, towels, spongeballs and frisbees were thrown to the crowd resulting in even more freebies to remember the game. Finally, the team itself played a hard game and the management has been bringing in new players all year in an effort to get better. My guess is 99% of the people left that game feeling they got their money's worth, something I didn't feel the last Red's game with $10 parking and $4 bottles of pop and water. |

| The Zooperstars are a hoot. They were an annual tradition during the last few seasons of the Ducks. My kids always enjoyed going to that game each year. I wish I knew they were going to be a Freedom game, I would have tried to take them down to see them. |
