CINCINNATI, Ohio - The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that goaltender Jeremy Smith has been reassigned by the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Smith, the second-year netminder, was recalled on October 12 by Milwaukee when Nashville goaltender Pekka Rinne went down with an injury, leaving a need for a backup at the AHL level. During his second career trip to Milwaukee, Smith dressed for two games but did not see any time in net.

With the Cyclones, the Dearborn, Michigan native enjoyed an award-winning rookie season in 2009-10. Smith posted a 23-15-0-2 record during the regular season with two shutouts, earning him a spot in the ECHL All-Star Game. In the postseason, Smith went 9-7-1 with a 2.67 GAA, a 90.7 save percentage, and one shutout. Upon the completion of the Kelly Cup Finals, Smith was awarded Co-Playoff MVP accolades, sharing the honor with teammate (and fellow goalie) Robert Mayer.

Smith will be back between the pipes for Cincinnati this weekend when they travel to Kalamazoo for a two-game series against the Wings beginning Saturday night. Hear Saturday's game on MAX-FM starting at 7:15pm with the opening face-off set for 7:30pm.

The defending Kelly Cup Champion Cyclones open their home schedule on Saturday, October 30 at U.S. Bank Arena against the Wheeling Nailers. Discounted ticket packages and single game tickets for the 2010-2011 season are available now. For more information, call 513.421.PUCK (7825) or visit CyclonesHockey.com.
