For those of you that just can't wait for next weeks home opener, the Queen City Storm will be playing their season opener Friday 10/22 at 7:30 PM at Sports Plus in Evendale. This will be the first game for former Cyclone Dwayne Zinger who is the teams head coach.

http://www.queencitystorm.com/home/2010/10/17/queen-city-opens-seasons-friday.html

I think the tickets will be $8 for adults, $6 for students, and $5 for kids and the Queen City Steam Mite A team will be providing the first intermission entertainment.

Good Luck Coach Dwayne!!

Probably not going to make it to tonight's game due to a nasty stomach bug, but hoping to feel better in time for Saturday's game.

I'll have to tune in to the live feed tonight.

We went to it.

There seemed to my untrained eye to be a little more physical play than what I see from the Cyclones.

I was really happy for Coach Zinger to get a win in his coaching debut. I can't wish him anything but the best of luck. The last 6 months have been a real whirlwind for him so I was glad to see him have some success at the next phase of his career.

Seeing a "pro" hockey game at Sports Plus was a little odd. It's a process that I'm sure they'll continue to improve on. The USA rink there does give a little different perspective as you are raised above the rink a little bit when you are right next to the boards. We really enjoyed it. However, things can get bad when they burn the popcorn, ...

I was also there. My view wasn't the best, I am an off ice official and was seated behind the goal under the scoreboard. If you went to the exhibition game 2 days before, you saw a completely different team. The exhibition game they seemed way out of sync as judge by the final score 12-4. Missed the Saturday game because we were in Kalamazoo.

Also, if anybody is interested they play Sunday afternoon. The schedule at first said there were games on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at home but with the Madison team in limbo they had to make some changes.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Today's game against Lapeer has been cancelled due to poor ice conditions. Seems the refrigeration system has malfunctioned. The game will be rescheduled for a later date.

That's a shame but nothing else they could probably do but cancel. On the team website it sounds like they're finding ways to make it up to the fans. Have a couple of friends who went to a game, they said the game was pretty good but they didn't much care for SP.

Didn't realize SP is under new management; sounds like they're working to make improvements so they don't have this sort of problem again. The team seems to have handled it as best they could under the circumstances.

The Storm were at the Cyclones game on Tuesday.

Zinger and Company got a 5 star performance on how NOT to kill penalties
