Thanks Wes (somebeach)for the tip. This will help greatly on the cost of the night out. The following is from the Cyclone's website:

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS - Cameras (As long as their use does not obstruct view of other fans) - Factory Sealed Bottled Water (1 per guest) - Individually wrapped snacks for children - Blankets - Seat Cushions - Sunscreen - Binoculars - Rain Jackets/Ponchos - Team Signs And Flags I guess the Dayton boys can still bring their flag down !! I thought I was the only person who thought the "lets make some noise up in here" guy was annoying.
The raising of the food and water prices may backfire on USBA as far as attendance. |

I agree 100% the combination of $3 raise in seats in two years and now the raise in food prices- to me no longer as "fan-friendly" to budget tight people. Our biggest competition on the weekend is first run movies. We lose this battle now. Now I am hitting Kroger's for my 24 ounce sealed waters for Tuesday and Wednesday's games ! |

Just a tidbit for comparison. Here's the ticket prices for individual games along the sides in the lower level for each team.
Wheeling - $16.50 Toledo - $15 Kalamazoo - $15.90 Reading - $26 Elmira - $18 Trenton - $23 Greenville - $17 South Carolina - $18 Gwinnett - $18 Florida - $18 Utah - $24 Idaho - $21.50 Las Vegas - $21 Bakersfield - $21 Stockton - $17 Ontario - $18 Victoria - $24 Alaska - $31.50
Now considering that we have two Kelly Cup championships in 3 years to lighten our moods and still have the lowest ticket prices in the entire league, I don't think we have a whole lot to complain about in that department. |
What you do today can change the course of your life far into the future. Today is critical. Today really counts. |

Yeah, I don't get the complaints about cost.
We get to watch championship hockey for a little more than the price of a movie ticket, and USBA isn't raping us any more on food and drinks than anyone else.
When was the last time any of you went to an NHL game? The worst seats in the building are typically about $50 each. Beers... $7. Anybody got a large popcorn at a movie lately? I can eat a nice dinner for less.
And when have any of you ever had a $2 24oz Molson or a $1 BBQ sandwich at a Bengals or Reds game???
Stop bitching about minor price hikes. Fact is that yes, the prices are going up, but they are still cheap because they used to be WAYYYYY cheap. The tickets weren't going to be $10 forever, and the food and drinks are still cheap if you factor in the $1 and $2 deals and average it out.
Geez. What a bunch of cheap skates.

All we are saying is look at Cincinnati Cyclones history. Everytime (except last year I will give you) that prices have gone up, the walkup crowd has gone down. Non hockey regulars don't want to walk 1/2 mile so their option is $10 parking. Las Vegas has FREE parking and cheaper food, so $8 more is offset. Wheeling has cheaper parking and cheaper food (at least last year it was). Cincinnati sports fans will always grumble at prices and unless you want to watch hockey with 800 fans, you better watch the cost of going to the games. |

| I'm not complaining about prices... but why the hell the switch to RC cola? It's like the Nati Light of soda. |

I want hockey and I want to be able to see it. I don't want another 20 minute banner raising that kills the energy and leads to another opening night loss.
If you complain about a $14 hockey ticket for a championship team you aren't a "hockey fan." If the food is too expensive, do what we do and grab something on the way to the game.
As I've said 100 times, Cincinnati is NOT a hockey town. There is a core group of about 1700 that will be at most of the games, the other folks will come when the team is winning or there is some sort of promotion... Regardless of the price of the hot dogs or the brand of cola.
You guys are regulars. The fact that you can't seem to realize that $14 tickets 10 feet from the ice for a championship professional team is the deal of the decade escapes me.
Expensive concessions is an easy fix. Don't buy it.

Okay Scott (Catch22), by your standards I'm not a hockey fan. Yes I will complain about rising ticket prices and rising food prices and rising parking costs, so yes I am not a hockey fan. Gee I just throw away money for two season passes for my wife and I because I'm not a hockey fan. I buy jerseys and t-shirts and even stuffed animals with sweaters saying Cyclones because I am not a hockey fan. Okay if that sounded totally stupid, your right. I've been following the Clones since year two and have missed maybe 30 games total after year one. If you want to pay $20 bucks for tickets and $5 for a pop, just keep your mouth shut and the owners will give those prices to you. Me, I want minor league prices for a Double AA level team and Double AA level prices for food and drinks. If you think Columbus Blue Jacket hockey is that much superior to what we have, go ahead and pay their prices and keep them going. I choose to support a lower level at a lower price. By the way, I have no problem with your opinion but I don't understand how people can say this is not a hockey town. If I'm not mistaken, the Red's were heading to the playoffs with a MAJOR LEAGUE TEAM and still not selling out. I guess this isn't a baseball town either.
