I heard a rumor from a reliable source that our assistant coach Fankhouser was possibly fired! ]

Alright, I'll take the job.

I've been leading the Cyclones to a 48-25-1-1 season in NHL 11 with a few games to go on All-Star difficulty. That counts, right? ;-)

Well, if you have a save percentage above 10%, a GAA below 100, and a penalty kill above atrocious I'd say you would be right in line for it

...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones!

I think he was on the bench last night. Guess we'll see if he's still with us after they get back from Wheeling. Would be kinda rough to fire him during a roadtrip.;)

IF things keep going like this (man, I hope not), how long before they look at Skalde's job? Just wondering, because it can't all be the players fault, and many of our guys are returning and they know how to play, so it makes me wonder..... especially if they're already looking at Fankhouser's job.

But then I wonder who's even available that is worth a carp.
Oh well, we'll see how it goes...

It's too early to say. Johnstown replaced Flanagan with Billy Bob Thornton (err.. I mean Neil Smith) in January of 2010. Stockton replaced Cichocki with Thomas in late December or early January of '09 as well. I'm not sure how those records compare to ours.. after all, Skalde's still looking for his first regulation win.

Too many returning players might be the problem.

I dont think thats the issue Donnie in 2007-2008 the Cyclones I think had around 15 players return from 2006-2007 and we know how 2008 ended.

08, 10 Kelly Cup Champions
08, 10, 14 American Conference Champions
08, 09, 13 North Division Champions
08 Brabham Cup Champions

The difference though is the Cyclones were building towards something after the 2006-07 season. The returners this year have already won something at this level.

This is just my humble opinion, but I would think the returners would want to prove that they still have what it takes, and could do it again!

Regardless of how many guys are "back" the are all new since the coach staff is new. It will take some time for everyone to trust each other.
