I knew the two game suspension was going to bring the "lenient" word
out by someone,but lets look at the situation. First, both skaters
faced off clear of everyone,so this wasn't a sneak attack.Second,
as far as I know,no weapon (other than fists) was used in the fight.
Believe me I was the first one that called for a punishment by the
league and since it was our man that got hurt,it's easy to ask for
more,but I can live with the punishment and hope that Conrad's injury
will not keep him out too long. We all can remember the "butt-kicking"
we dished out to Cleveland,now we just got the same thing.It would be
great to see an apology from Toledo,but I won't hold my breath. |

Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's a bad decision, just from what I remember hearing he is only sitting two games kind of turned my head. Kind of just like how I agreed with Mile Golic that Donna Shalala is an idiot and Miami's players after the incident with FUI were only suspended one game against a game that the back-ups could win (and did) against Duke.
As long as the kid learns some integrity, I'm fine with however long the punishment is. |

| Will make future Toledo/Cincinnati games entertaning. Remember what Claude Lemiuex's cheap shot on Kris Draper did btw the Wings and the Avs? If I was a player on the Cyclones revenge will be on my mind. |

Thanks "cyclonehole" for not taken my response wrong.We both think he deserved
more time,but that is the price for fighting. As for our next meeting with Toledo,
we seem to have a team of "hockey players", not enforcers so maybe we do need to
look for someone to help watch our players backs. Sometimes the best offense for
fighting is having an ace on the bench. Give me a guy like Marc Labelle who could
handle himself in a fight,but more important,could give you solid hockey play on
his shift. |
