I thought the atmosphere had a good vibe tonight despite a little low of attendance for a Friday night game and the loss ... it really sucks especially with this franchise to see the crowd be into it and we lose to a bad team ... really hurts when people might be thinking about returning for tommorow. Great Section 60 bit.
I really didn't expect the attendance to be huge, as I said before, with the whole "White Out" thing rather than concentrating on the "Pack The House" part. We should have done PTH night like we used to ... discounted tickets ... all seats in the house are $5 ... that would have got people in seats, not a free white t-shirt. Let's tie up this series tommorow.
I am still confused on attendance figures. I find it hard to believe only 1500 people at the game.With 32 sections in the arena,1500 works out to around 47 people PER SECTION! Over in section 126,we had to have had at least 150 from top to bottom. I noticed for the first time the East entrance had people actually going through the turnstiles instead of the usher hand cranking the turnstile.One problem with the promotion was why not say "free t-shirts" to the first 3000 fans instead of the vague "whiteout" reference? Free promotions in the past has always brought the crowds in. By the way, the best shot of the game by someone wearing a Cyclones jersey was in between periods for the trip.Take Las Vegas when The Wranglers have a home game for the trip choice!!
