I'm watching the college play offs Cornell vs Yale and heard the name Paul Stewart mentioned. It rang a bell as a former Stinger's player and found the information in the above link. Thought there might be some interest for old Stinger's fans. Paul had as long a career as an official that he did as a player.
Paul Stewart's grandfather (Bill Stewart) was a major league umpire from 1933 to 1954. In 1938, Bill was the home plate umpire in Brooklyn when Reds' pitcher Johnny Vander Meer had his second consecutive no-hitter.
