| as we all know, on wednesday, we play those dill-holes from toledo for the 1st time since the martian-parillo fight at us bank arena. i think if they start on the same line the are gonna go @ each other once again |

| After yesterday's game, I hope that our boys beat the crap out of Toledo. It was pathetic! |

Actually, the Cyclones have played Toledo twice since the first game when Martin and Parillo first went at it. Both were at Toledo, so this will be the second one home in Cincinnati.
And according to the Cyclones "Weekly Update", there will be various "Thanksgiving activities" set up around the arena for the Turkey Drop promotion. |

It hasnt happened yet...
In fact in all the fights so far this season,I dont think the clones have won any...
Since they cant fight,maybe they should keep the gloves on and maybe win the game.
Besides the Toledo Sports arena ice staff is getting tired of having to scrape the blood from a clones player of the ice. |

| Maybe they should keep the gloves and maybe win a game? They just did tonight against your team. And no, don't make any excuses. We only had one Power Play the whole night, and still won the game and outshot Toledo. And they did as well the second game of the season, 4-0. Interesting how facts get ignored when you are in total favoritism mode ... |

Heeeey, Bryan -- I think you missed most of those fights then, because Toledo only wins any when they get our player in a vulnerable position (i.e. pinned to the ground/glass/wall) and take free shots.
OH, but yeah.

think Martin beat Songin Sunday, Conrad had him in a position to keep pounding but out or respect didnt throw any more punches.
If you call winning a fight when a player throws out his shoulder goes down to the ice and Parillo keeps pounding on him, winning a fight, go right ahead.
The other fights I pretty much agree, Cyclones lost the fights. This team sticks up for each other tho, and the wins will start coming.

Hey "Bryan",I've been gone a few days so this is my first chance to catch
up on the board.Years back I joined this site as a honor to the devoted early
fans of the Cyclones.For this reason I take offense to someone calling the
Cyclones "clones"on their first post. When I read about the negative attitudes
on the Cyclones being posted on "Heckler's Grove", I choose to avoid the site the
same way I chose to not post negatives on a Cincinnati Ducks site. If you are a
fan of the CYCLONES, then welcome aboard.If not, watch your "clones" references
because the real fans might not want to hear it. |

Hey Bag, Its called a little trash talking between fellow rivals....No harm is meant,if it offended you,it may be time for some thicker skin...
Congrats on the win, I didnt get a chance to listen to the game,for some reason our radio broadcast hasnt been working,and I was away from the computer....
In the 4 games we've played each other,there seems to be a little grudge being built,which will hopefully build into a rivalry like we had when Peoria was in the league....Even the news has been talking about these 2 teams playing rough and tumble hockey.
While my comment about fighting was a general comments about all the fights,I wasnt specifically talking about the first Parillo/Martin fight...Ive seen the video,It was uncalled for and time was served for the penalty by the league....Im talking about a majority of the other fights.....I will give the ***Disclaimer***(Close your eyes bags)"clones" credit they are normally willing to drop em....
It should turn into a good rivalry throughout the season.
I see some of you guys have already joined a message board I run, so feel free to come on over and talk some trash, or whatever floats your boat.

okay Bryan I am not going to get into a pissing contest with a
rival fan. If you want to poke jabs at us,that's your business.
As for your "disclaimer" you can pass on that.We've had a lot of
bad blood floating in the Cincinnati area over the multiple teams
so maybe I'm a little sensitive right now. As for an invitation to
your team web-site I say thanks but no thanks. |

No bad blood here bags.
I want you guys to be successful just as much as you do. We all know we can use more teams in the north.
Back a few years ago,I met a few cinci fans and had fun when I attended games there...I dont see any reason why it wont be the same this year.
I look forward to at least a few road trips down I-75 just as much as I hope to see you guys back here in Toledo. |

Thanks Bryan for the reply and welcome aboard from me.I thought
you were a "local" who was either pissed at the loss of the once
rival Cincinnati Ducks or just someone trying to stir up trouble.
I saw a few Toledo fans at the game and wouldn't mind a road game
in Toledo some day. Our team is weak on the "physical" side of
hockey and these new ECHL rules are driving us nuts on penalties.
Can you believe "your team" only giving us ONE power play w/out
the help of missed ref calls! A rivalry is sure to happen as long
as your players are taking shots at our goalies and our players
are being penalized for standing up for the goalie! |
