http://www.cycloneshockey.com/news/352/cyclones-unveil-2011-12-schedule/
CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, have announced their 2011-12 regular season schedule. The Cyclones will kick off their 72 game-slate on Saturday, October 15 on the road when they visit the defending Eastern Conference Champion Kalamazoo Wings.
After playing the first five games of the year away from U.S. Bank Arena, Cincinnati will open its 2011-12 home campaign on Saturday, November 5 at 7:30pm against a new division rival – the Chicago Express. The game will feature $1 Donatos Pizza, $1 John Morrell Hot Dogs, and $1 Soda.
The Cyclones, who drew a franchise-record 149,141 fans a year ago, will compete in the ECHL’s North Division for the sixth consecutive season. They will battle the Chicago Express, Kalamazoo Wings, and Toledo Walleye for division supremacy.
Cincinnati’s exciting 36-game home schedule features 21 contests on either a Friday or Saturday night and 15 others during the week. Keeping up with tradition, the Cyclones will offer discount beer during games that are played on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday nights at U.S. Bank Arena. Unless otherwise noted, all home games will once again start at 7:30pm with doors opening one hour earlier.
2011-12 season ticket packages are available NOW for as low as $144 and are accompanied by numerous special ticket holder benefits! Fans can get more information by calling 513.421.PUCK or by logging on to CyclonesHockey.com. | Chicago at home 8 times. That could develop into a good rivalry fast. |

Looks much better than last year. Checked a cple of other teams and it looks like the schedules are much more balanced than last year. We play 43 games in the division, 14 against the east and 15 against the south. Chicago as an example plays 44 games in the division, 15 against the east, and 13 against the south
February and March are brutal though as we have 34 games in 59 days or better than one every two days. My guess is that they put almost half the season in these two months for all the teams as attendance is much better after pro and college football ends.

I was really hoping the NFL lockout happened already. Extra time without Bengals football would be amazing. |

Welcome to minor league hockey... in any level... very brutal on the skates... plus the ECHL always enjoys the "who the hell cares" philosophy... remember we played 5 games in 7 days, 2 out west, and still won the Kelly Cup in 2010... I dont mind it at all |

Oh and just so we are all aware, even if you are already... its pretty much within conference boundaries leaguewide... East vs. East, West vs. West... no crossovers except for the All Star Game and Finals...
What also is happening is the Nailers are moving to the East division so Chicago can go to the North with us. |
