| If the handful of Cyclones fans can't get excited about the team, then who else can? |

Thank you for that input Captain Obvious.
When you get a chance, please look up and let us know if the sky is in fact blue.

The time to get excited or not is October when camp is over and not in August based on just these signings. More than half of what will be the final team isn't yet on the Cyclones roster and wont be until the AHL rosters are set. The guys signed now are fighting to be the 6 thru 8 hitters and we wont know the 3-5 hitters until October. If the best players have to be found among the current signees we are in real trouble. Here is the roster from the beginning of training camp last year as announced on 9/30 of last year. As you can see--not a lot of players who finished camp were on the roster even then except for the 3-4 veterans. This the roster we should be comparing the current signees to now. Lets wait until mid October to see what the final roster looks like once the AHL camps are finished and assignees/cuts are made.
Name Position Mathieu Aubin Forward Justin Axelson Goalie Adam Bartholomay Forward Sam D’Agostino Forward Barret Ehgoetz Forward Jon Higgins Forward Ryan Hitchcock Defenseman Anthony Iaquinto Forward Doug Krantz Defenseman Chris Minella Forward Ted Nischan Goalie Scott Reynolds Forward Kevin Roeder Defenseman Brad Schroeder Defenseman Brodie Sheahan Forward Eric Slais Forward David Sloane Defenseman Mark Van Vliet Defenseman |

Nice comparision. You are right we are getting a little ahead of ourselves. But when you get so involved in a team, you get a little peaved when you feel the coach is being a ----. You can fill in the blank with your own bad word.

Good point. And I think most everyone understands that. But when the news you are getting is that proven guys like Ehgo and Robinson are going elsewhere and the replacements (so far) have a bunch of "-" and PIMs in their stats it's pretty damned easy to not get very excited about it.
At least the latest guy was +20 and put up 40 points with K'zoo a couple of seasons ago.

"Barrett is trying to rehab a leg problem that was ailing him for the last bit of the season. Coach Skalde told me and some friends that Barrett is not up to par with his rehab and prolly was unlikely to be ready for the preseason or the season itself. I too am sad to hear about it and see him go, but no matter what we'll always have a special place here in Cincy for him. Thank you Ehgo!!!"" - Charlie Powell
"hmmm....he must not of saw us skating 3 times a week" - Barret Ehgoetz
And now the punchline.... Nick Brunker and Matt McIlvane discuss a season-ending injury and McIlvane's rehab on the most recent video of Puckopolis.
Anybody want to go in on some custom middle finger foam hands? JK. Sort of.

| Egho was on the ice at open hockey at Northlands a couple of weeks ago. He looked just fine to me. I bet he could find a team, if he wanted to. |

Maybe he'll just hang out here and wait until Skalde gets fired. My guess is just after christmas.
