CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Mathieu Curadeau for the 2011-12 season.

Curadeau (Cure-uh-DOE), a six-foot-one, 185-pound forward returns to the ECHL after spending three of the past four seasons with the Fort Wayne Komets of the Central Hockey League (CHL). Cyclones fans may recall Curadeau from the 2009-10 campaign, when he was a member of the Kalamazoo Wings and finished fifth on the team in scoring that year with 47 points (23 goals, 24 assists) – six of which were against Cincinnati. In 2010-11, he collected 33 points (14 goals, 19 assists) and 74 penalty minutes in 62 games with Fort Wayne. Over his four-year pro career, he has also skated in 25 contests at the American Hockey League (AHL) level.

"Mathieu knows how to win and produce at this level," said Cyclones Head Coach Jarrod Skalde. "He has had tremendous success in both Kalamazoo and Fort Wayne. We expect him to be a leader for us both on the ice and in the locker room. Mathieu can distribute the puck very well but doesn’t mind shooting when given the opportunity; he is a game-breaker who has the ability to do something special and win you a hockey game."

Collectively, the 26-year old Montreal, Quebec native has logged 260 professional games and has amassed 209 points (108 goals, 101 assists). Curadeau’s greatest on-ice successes have come as a member of the Komets; in 2007-08, he was named to the International Hockey League All-Rookie Team and helped Fort Wayne earn the first of back-to-back Turner Cup Championships.

The countdown to the 2011-12 season is officially underway! Secure your seats for this year's Home Opener on Saturday, November 5 when the Cyclones welcome the Chicago Express to U.S. Bank Arena for the first time at 7:30pm.
