Ignoring that the reason we need a new captain still sits wrong with many of us... Who will wear the C this year?
My money is on Aubin. Skalde seems to like his play and persona A LOT.

| Maybe Eves with the A. I think it depends on how they pick the captains. If Skalde picks then well...who knows what he will do. If the team votes then we might see a true leader. |

The Captain is interesting. You want it to be a guy who is a natural leader that the rest of the team naturally wants to follow. A guy who will carry the coach's message and guys will do what they need to because they respect the Captain. Sometimes this person emerges from the unexpected. Sort of everything Barrett exemplified. But I digress.
Hopefully Coach Skalde lets the new Captain emerge from the troops. |

From observation and reading between the lines Barrett was too quiet for Skalde's tastes. Barrett tended to lead by example and work ethic more than by getting fired up and loud and I think Skalde wants fired up and loud.
Aubin is a veteran that has a temper and has been known to express himself pretty clearly. That's my bet. |

But he's also known to take many shifts off per game, not use his size fully to his advantage, and given his skills is considered a bit of bust since he's still playing in the ECHL. Is that really what one wants out of thier captain? |

Too bad we didn't sign Benson,move him to the position I think
would suit him better - defenseman - and make him captain. Hans
was a player like Justin Johnson. Give them a chance to "play"
hockey and things happened. Send them out as a goon and more harm
than good. Never liked Benson as a shooter but I did like his passing
abilities. |

| My vote is for Brian O' Hanley. Leads by example. Don't know how loud he is in the locker room but a leader on the ice. |

Rabbit already looked like a leader, but as a send down I don't expect him to be around very long so he's off the list.
Note that I didn't say it is what I want. It's what I'm betting it'll be. |

| I think roxyjess is referring to Matt McIlvane and if that's the case I agree. Matt was a captain at OSU and he has a favorable history with Skalde so it wouldn't surprise me to see him in the mix. I think O'Hanley will get a letter and possibly Aubin. |

| According to the ECHL Website boxscore from Saturday night the Clones had 3 A's and no Captain. The three A's were Trimm, Aubin and O'Hanley. |
