I think its time for a "wish-list" for the Cyclone management, maybe some good ideas from the past to bring some spark to our Cyclones.
Perhaps we could call it our "Fan-ifesto"
For example:
1)They need a good consistant intermission entertaining event. I loved the "bungy saucer-bowling" of a few years back. That would be cheap, fun to watch and fun to participate in. Follow that with lots of little kid hockey. That would draw a crowd if only from family and friends. Its also great to watch and links the Cyclones to the youth hockey in the area.
2) They have to better use the video board for messages. A fight logo and theme song, a flashy goal message, or something to help endear and familiarize the players to the fans
3)Perhaps a "Starling's Roost" section of seats in honor of our captain, or something to identify players. I recall the jumbo-tron in Nashville displaying a "TooToo Train" whenever Jordin Tootoo made his presence known. |

| The sound system! I forgot the sound system. It would be expensive, but they have to upgrade that. I sat on the side last night just to see if I could hear better. It was still totally garbled. Another reason to use the jumbo-tron more for announcements. |

My wishes:
1. Full explanation of the promotions on their web site and in newspaper ads
2. Continue use of the horn after a goal scored
3. 2000 seats available each Monday-Thursday game at $5
4. Two for Tuesday that includes buy one get one free on pop,popcorn,cotton candy,
hot dogs, pretzels and ice cones!
5. Thirsty Thursday having $1 pops available also
6. Have "The Mystics" go in the studio and record "The Star Spangle Banner" to be
played on nights with no singers.
7. Last but not least-A GOAL SCORER!!!!!!!!! |

i agree, dj mitts has to go.
how about a pole for the zip scene girls to dance on in wild man's lair. i think that might make them feel a little more at home.
there should definitely be more little kid hockey (except during the dayton games).
student discounts on tickets. i know when i was in school that made it easier to afford going to games.
have better promotions and promote them better. did anyone pay attention to what big ben motorcycle helmet night is. (if i recall correctly kids get a foam goalie helmet, adults get a $50 gift certficate for plastic surgery and the chance to win a nose job.) and there should be posters advertising thirsty thursdays at every tri-state university.

the problem with the sound system is that, sadly, there aren't enough people in the building. that PA was designed to project to a full building and with out a bunch or people to absorb the sound, you just end up with a bunch of reverb and you can't hear anything. so until we start putting some people in the seats, even a new system will sound bad.
i think paul horton might have something to with it too. it seems that i can understand wildman fine, but i can never tell what the hell paul is saying. |

1.) Hairdye/cuts for Jarred Mohr and Cory Urquhart
2.) Mitts to learn about hockey
3.) SilverSurfer to quit calling me babe because I'm over 18.
4.) CHEAPER TICKETS. $12 seats = crapitty crap crap. |

Dannielle, your group of skaters have done a great job for us,but we still need
a skater with the killer instinct that shoots high when the goalie is low and can
fake a shot and then snap the shot off when the goalie flinches.That is what made
Paul Lawless,Don Biggs and even Len Barrie so dangerous with the puck in front of
the net.Maybe it's time to beat the bushes down in the 200 million independant leagues
around the country and find that diamond in the rough.It's Christmas time,I can
wish out loud too!

Truuuuue, but those guys played in the IHL, didn't they? :P
And geeeez, I was kidding. But those few have tremendous talent. Just a little rough around the edges, which is why they're here and not Hamilton/Worcester/somewhere else. |
