Strange happenings with goalies. Florida recalled Markstrom from SA and rather than calling up Tyler Plante they signed Rob Nolan of the Chicago Express to a PTO. SA was also playing in Chicago tonight which made the move even more strange. Dont know what this means for Plante.
I had to be in Chicago today so stayed and watched the game tonight. Cyclones dominated from start to finish like they did in the last two periods against Reading. 39/12 in shots I believe and it looked like that. New Chicago stood on his head. If they play like this they will br a strong team and fun to watch |

York, the Chicago goalie, had been playing for the Blue Jackets just a couple of weeks ago. Coming down to the ECHL from the NHL, do wonder he was able to stop everything.

Probably because Chicago had a goalie to spare in Rob Nolan because they have York and Dainton and the Clones did not bring an EBUG or could not find one so Chuck went with Nolan because he is a "spare" with Chicago and the Clones did not have to worry about trying to find a goalie. |

| With Chet playing all three games this weekend, anyone know of there is something wrong with Plante that might have caused this? |

| Stay tuned on Plante...I don't have anything concrete but the rumor, and confirmed by someone I consider reliable, is there's a John Denver song that describes his upcoming travel plans..... |

| Clemmonson could be shiped out by the Panthers rumor has it to Toronto or an outright release but we might see Plante leave soon regardless because Markstrom is back with Florida. That being said York was reassigned to Springfield so with Taylor, York and Legace either Lagace is released or we could see Taylor coming back (which is unlikely) Skalde should be searching for a goalie and FAST because Chet should not play the rest of the season with an ebug. Looks like the trade of Cheverie to Phoenix backfired on Florida IMO. The player they got for an extra goalie in the system has not played much in Rio Grande. |

York was recalled to Columbus after Steve Mason took a puck to the ego er I mean head during morning skate. That means Taylor and Legace remain in SPR.
The interweb skuttlebutt is that Plante is heading to Europe.
I agree that moving Cheverie might have backfired a bit although the FLA/SAN side of things has some minor league depth in net even if the rumors about Plante come to fruition. |

| San Antonio signs Dov Grumet-Morris so looks like they have given up on Plante. Wonder if he will ask for his release or if he stays where his head will be. |

Based on what Skalde said Monday night, Florida and Plante are done with each other and it's just a matter of the paperwork getting filed. Time will tell. I was a bit surprised to see him in the lineup tonight. |

| Even if Florida is done with Plante, why can't Skalde play him to give Chet a day off? Chet could have used a days rest last weekend. |

| Skadle's reasoning, which I can understand, was basically that Plante doesn't want to be here and therefore he felt it best to play Chet who while tired would compete for the win rather than play Plante who might not really give a crap. I'll have to defer to Skalde on that one since he's the one involved with Plante day in and day out since Plante has made the decision to leave. I'd like to think a professional athlete would have more class than to throw a game because he's done with an organization, but who knows. |

| Here we go again. Markstrom back to SA which leaves them with three goalies now that they have signed Dov Grumet Morris. As he is a veteran and had a shut out his first SA game, my guess is that Plante is released by FL from his contract and Brian Foster gets sent down here. Looks like the musical chairs game they play on the ice between periods |

| My guess is that his future does not include the ECHL. As with Plante, this is not the place someone with strong experience at the higher levels wants to be and therefore can't really be 110% focused. He started here this year to get in shape and show off his skills for NHL/AHL trams and it succeeded in getting him his shot. |

| I haven't seen any movement of Plante. Is he still on the roster? One of the three goalies will have to get moved. |
