Does anyone know what the deal is with Marketing? Last week it was a last minute tweet stating that it was 80s night.
This week, it's a tweet on Monday for the Teddy Bear toss that is this Saturday. We were looking for it on the promotional schedule weeks ago and didn't see it. Someone in our section asked their rep last week who said they didn't know.
Now I have to go out with the Christmas shopping peeps to pick up a few teddy bears. I could have done this weeks ago before the Christmas shopping season started, but it appeared that it wasn't happening. Both of these needed to be on the promotional schedule weeks ago.
Plus IMHO they got rid of the best giveaway from last year which was the Cyclones calendar; unless that is going to be a last minute giveaway that hasn't been announced either.
It just seems like Marketing is missing the puck in a year where they need to be better. |

They stop handed out them 5x7

I liked them a still have all of mine
Even the Obama and McCain ones lol
Come on marketing dept please get on
the ball. Even tho I don't go for promos
But I would like to know when things are

| I remember a couple years ago on throwback night when the Cyclones were wearing yellow Stingers jerseys they sold cheap yellow Stingers t-shirts. Does anyone know if they'll be selling yellow Cyclones t-shirts at the game this Saturday? |

Promotional schedules and give a ways are always scheduled to change without notice add or subtract because the order etc. is out of the hands of the team after they make an order to a company, it is up to that company to be able to produce the order on time and shipped on time. All teams in all leagues of Pro Sports go through this because a lot of the stuff is made in.......China.
In regards to the teddy bear toss it is on a day where the promotional schedule is already heavy on the throwback night. So as they are allowed to do to add with IMO plenty of notice.......a WEEK. The marketing department has done a lot of the years to get people in the stands. And IMO they are doing a great job. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are always Beer specials, Friday and Saturday are the giveaways or something to help bring the kids to the games, its worked to grow the attendance over the past five years and IMO we will grow in attendance again this year because of maybe not the product on the ice, but the weekend games and give a ways. |
