The Montreal Canadiens fired head coach Jacques Martin this morning. Randy Cunneyworth has been named interim head coach for the balance of the season.
Former Cincinnati Swords defenseman Larry Carriere has been named assistant coach.
Martin is a good coach and will get another opportunity to coach in the NHL, if he wants to.
