I know the NHL would never admit to anything but perfection but the ice conditions appear to be pretty bad. The bad ice has lead to bad passes, missed scoring opportunities and a real lack of offensive pressure for most of the game. Nice finish, though.

Not even one shot of Ilya on the bench. Philly PR needs to shut down his Twitter and kick HBO out of the locker room.
Hope some of you watched the alumni game yesterday also. Wonderful watching 66 year old Bernie Parent don the old smaller yet heavier horse hair pads and smaller glove and blocker for the first five minutes. Kudos to Ron Dugay for flipping his breakaway shot into Bernie's pads to allow for the save.
I enjoyed the alumni game and watching guys like Parent, Bobby Clarke, Bill Barber, Bob "Battleship" Kelly, Joe Watson, Brad Marsh, former WHA Stingers Mike Gartner, Mark Messier and others play.
Miss the days of the old school pads and masks that Parent was sporting.
