The Cincinnati Cyclones are 12-10-1-1. They are in second place in the American North, two points behind Reading, with two games in hand.
In my opinion, this coaching staff has done a marvelous job with the situation they have been given. I think it's time for the ownership to negotiate with Coach Weber to extend his contract. Coach Weber is proving his mettle as a hockey coach and deserves to be rewarded with a multi-year deal. You can't let a first year coach compile a winning record and not bring him back, can you? This deal should be done by the ECHL All-Star break. (It might also go a long way toward dispelling those rumors that the Cyclones are going to be sold.)
Anyone with me on this?

| i would agree. he is doing a great job. he likes to shoot first in the shoot-out, which seems a bit odd strategy wise, but he certianly seems to be getting the job done. there is still a lot of hockey to be played this season so i think it might be a little early to renegotiate with him, but the ownership should put it out on the table that they would like to keep him around. |

I'm easily inclined to agree as well, but like has already been stated, we will have to wait a little longer to see if things hold up. A Bruce Coslet, Weber is not.  |

Time to bring this thread back since it's been close to a month. No word has come out yet about any negotiations to bring Chuck Weber back. When is too late to start? Hasn't Chuck proven he deserves at least another year here?
For that matter, is ANYONE on the team signed past this year?

| all of the players, coaches and staff deserve to be back, they have all done great jobs. since everyone is on just a 1 yr contract and there have been no mentions of resigning anyone, i'm statting to get a little worried about next year, as in will there even be a team here, worried. i've heard rumors that they are going to start taking season ticket renewals, but those started a month ago and there has yet to be any official word from the organization. the ticket reps say the management is committed to taking the time to build a fan base, but they have done nothing to assure the fans that the 'clones will be here beyond the end of the season. taking season ticket renewals, and getting the staff and players under contract would go a long way to building a loyal fan base. it would be a shame to have such a great season only to have the team go their seperate ways next season. hopefully they'll get something done soon. |

chuck weber is a really good coach, but i think he needs to work with th power play uni more, the rest on the team is awsome
