Okay some may think it's petty but I'm wondering how others feel. My wife and I have a large collection of Cyclones giveaways and we were upset that only "kids" got the Twister doll on Friday night. When asking the reps Friday night about it, the attitude was almost "go away and don't bother me"! Luckily the merchandise booth had ones to sell Saturday night and now we have ones for our collection. Josh Burdine is the only one who has emailed me lately since I think Ted Davis left. Before that Joe Stills was the only one I dealt with. Bottom line we have two season tickets and almost no contact with a sales rep. Talking with people, we have not been contacted at all about renewal of season tickets. I'm on the fence right now and this over-gamed February and attitude by the agents is making me rethink season tickets. If we don't get them, we still will come, just not so often. |

Josh has always been good to me. I get about an email once a week advertising a presale or clarifing a policy. I received notice about re-upping season tix about a week ago from him including the new payment plan they are touting.
I think the Twister plush give away was mishandled as well; everyone should have gotten one. I think attendence would have been much higher had it been a general giveaway. The cake was a nice touch though. How much was the Twister Plush in the mechandise booth?
This years promotions strike me as brainstorming at its worst. "You are the Bobblehead" (Both shirt and Bobblehead) and the King of Pop Night are really pathetic. How about a "Mike Liambas Bobble fist night" or a Puck giveaway? What about the calendar night? (nothing like having a reminder of Cyclones Hockey hanging on the wall all year long...) Affiliate Night? NASCAR night? Just because its minor league doesn't mean the promotions have to be wacky or stupid. |

How about a simple formula for number of items for a big promotion- use the previous year AVERAGE attendance for your mark. 2500 units for a promotion is too low for a top notch item. If you offer 4500 dolls or snow globes or bobbleheads, my guess you will see numbers like 8,000 to 9,000. 2,500 makes people think none will be available unless they camp out 2 hours in advance. Last nights crowd was great for a Wednesday but fair for a big promotion night. |

Don't get me started on ticket reps. I have scheduled three group nights this year, and my tickets got screwed up two of those three, a problem I never had with Mike Cox or Joe Stills. I cancelled my group for the home opener because of it, brought 90 people to the second game and bringing 119 to this coming Friday nights game. I was looking to bring in excess to a 100 on my next one and cancelled the tickets I had on hold I got so aggravated.
If I decide to do anything next season regarding season tickets or group nights, I will either go with Josh or Mike Cahill. Both of them are always very friendly to me when I am down there. |

I have always dealt with Josh. He is very pesonalable. He keeps me updated with emails. He is the 1st ticket rep that remembers me by my first name. He is very good to deal with.

I will have to contact Josh and talk with him. Since I'm kinda in a "hand-me-down" situation, we never really have been introduced. I did meet Ted Davis so I will go ahead and email Josh. Still don't like the attitude from the reps at the table on the north side of the main entrance. Notice when you suggest things, nothing ever gets written down. Must have fantastic memories !!! |

Last nights attendance was 5952. If the Cyclones start putting 6k on the stands on a weeknight, I'll attempt a backflip...ok a cartwheel and I'm pretty sure the organization would too.
It's been stated over and over again, the premium items really aren't for the regulars, they're for bringing in new fans and I've got to say the goofy crap with local celebs and stuff works much better. The bobblehead adult size shirt was the worst thing ever. Why not just make it a logo Tee? You know, something that someone might actually wear out in public?
As far as the reps go, I've been with Josh ever since Bukas left and he's been great. One thing to keep in mind is that reps primary job isn't necessarily customer service, but selling tickets. Yes, they have to keep up happy but if they don't generate new sales they're SOL. That does make me surprised to hear about the issues Cloneinator had, although those are large groups and if you're looking to get everyone sitting together it could be tough. The easy solution would be to pull a tarp off the upper bowl and put the whole group there.
The rub in any sales position that requires a high volume of new sales to make any money is the level of follow up service wanes. If a rep can sell 4 new ticket packages in the time it take to keep a single ticket holder happy, the choice is an easy one. I'm not saying that's the right thing but it's the way it works. And honestly, I can't say I blame them. Regardless of all of the good things people will find the smallest things to complain about and want more. |

| Historically, game operations and strategic implementation of any sort have never been the Cyclones' forte. They continue to be incapable of managing large crowds coupled with significant promotions. For those of us who are there every game, the chaos of a promotional night tends to be annoying. |

It's not the sitting together issue per se' but I won't go into specifics. And my last contact I felt exactly like Bags said he did, "Go away and don't bother me" or more like, "I don't care." With Mike (Cox) and Joe (Stills) we were always able to get our group seats in our section without the problems I have now, and those two did OUTSTANDING customer service. I reserve my seats at least two to three months out just because I know that many seats are more difficult to facilitate.
It is no big deal to me. Organizing groups that big can be a royal pain in the @$$ because I deal with several county agencies, my wife's company, and of course friends and relatives. I do it to support the organization, but when it comes right down to it, I don't need the aggravation. I don't attend Reds or Bengals games because frankly if they packed up and left tomorrow, I could care less. Minor league hockey is much more volatile, here today, gone tomorrow. They can't afford to start alienating anyone. |

I hate the plush toys and snowglobes and crap because it means I'll be surrounded by people NOT there to watch a freakin' hockey game, I'll likely get something spilled on me by the 5 year old who's parents are ignoring him, and someone within 10 feet of me will yell "FIGHT" at least 137 times during the game.
But I realize that this is the crap it takes to put people in seats for a hockey game in Cicinnati, so I'll grudgingly deal with it.

| There are plenty of people who are both passionate hockey fans and also like the various hockey memorabilia. Or adults who dont take their kids to the game, they could have used the doll as a present. Or put it on display with other various bobbleheads and what not. They need to change the promo items to be guaranteed for STH who show up for the games. Kids t-shirts, fine, only give those to kids, but the plush doll should have been given to anybody who wanted one. |
