TOLEDO, Ohio – Kyle Rogers buried the game-winning goal at 4:18 of overtime to give the Toledo Walleye (22-23-2-2) a 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Cyclones (22-16-1-6) in front of 7,004 at Huntington Center on Sunday afternoon.

After a scoreless first period, Rob Slaney struck with the game’s first goal just 2:25 into the middle frame as he slammed in a loose puck from along the goal line, making it 1-0 Cincinnati. Toledo found the equalizer at 14:38 as Todd Griffith benefited from a poor Cincinnati line change and buried a breakaway goal past Cyclones net minder Brad Fogal (OTL, 28 saves, 4-4-1-2). However, just 52 seconds later, Dan Eves spun to the middle of the Toledo slot and backhanded a shot through the legs of Walleye goaltender Alec Richards (W, 24 saves, 4-0-0) to give Cincinnati a 2-1 lead at the second intermission. With the tally, Eves extended his goal-scoring streak to an ECHL-best seven games.

Toledo used a power play to their advantage as, at 11:39 of the third period, Andrej Nestrasil camped out in front of Cincinnati net and potted the game-tying strike after receiving a feed from Paul Zanette. Despite a late third period power play for the Cyclones, the teams remained tied and were forced into overtime.

In the extra session, the Cyclones offered up a few early chances, but were unable to tally. Then, with less than a minute to play, Joey Martin grabbed a puck at neutral ice and fed Kyle Rogers in the Cincinnati slot who dangled past Fogal and earned the game-winning goal at 4:18.

The Cyclones Radio Network Three Stars of the Game are as follows:
