This is speculation but it wouldn't be the 1st time it's happened. I would keep an eye on the Euro Leagues. Many of them are getting ready to make a push for the playoffs. A player like Cahill (AHL contract but toiling in the ECHL) is an obvious target. From Cahill's perspective, the money he can make over there in the next 2 months is greater than what he'll make here in the ECHL. He hasn't exactly been racking up the AHL minutes, so my guess is, if he got an offer he took it. I'll keep an eye out to see if i can verify this theory.
