Hey! Just wanted to let everyone know that the fan club will be taking donations at the booth tomorrow night for the Red Cross to support the victims of today's deadly storms. Hope everyone can come see some great hockey and the community!
It's a small thing, but I'm hoping the Cyclones don't show the intro video tonight and they do a moment of silence instead. Showing a fake weather report about tornadoes coming into downtown after what happened yesterday may rub some folks the wrong way.
Just wanted to update the RED CROSS is asking that we try to only do cash donations. However, if you already have purchased merchandise, they will gladly accept it. Thanks again everyone!
First of all thanks to everyone that contributes to the Red Cross tonight. I live in Northern Pendleton County close to where the storm went through. Luckily we just experienced some straight line winds and hail but we have several friends that lost their homes and lived through the terror in what was left of them. When we traveled down the AA highway this morning on the way to my son's hockey game I seen destruction like I had only ever seen before on TV. Please pray for all affected by the storms.
I thought not showing the regular intro by Steve Horstmeyer was a classy move by the team. Even though it's an intro about the team etc when people go through something like that it's not something they want to think about! Once somebody has lived through a tornado the words hook and echo really don't go well together! Classy move by the team and staff last night.

They should have retired that video after the first stretch of home games anyways.
Classy move to still have a 6'4" anthropomorphic Twister running around the arena?
