Can anyone else think of a better way for the Cyclones to show commitment to
next year than to offer the ENTIRE COACHING STAFF a contract for next year.This
team is playing like the old Dennis D. teams with the cliche "no I in Team". If
you had to name a star of the first half,that would have to be Cedrick,but if
Dov was still here,his burden wouldn't have been so bad.Then you could name a
defenseman or a scorer(yes I admit we have some scorers  ). Bottom line is I
admit the attendance is low but each game we can get two new faces means a chance
for a return visit and maybe an old season ticket holder to return and buy a
full or partial package next year. |

the first time this topic came up i was a little skeptical about offering the coaches a cantract extensions. the guys had a great start and then fell off, it felt a lot like the last season the cyclones were here.
now chuck has the boys playing great team hockey. there are some things i'd like to see him do a little differently like hold players more accountable for there play; reward players who skate hard and produce every shift, like jason deitsch, by moving up to the #1 line, and "demoting" guys that take shifts off, like urquhart, for example.
overall i'd have to agree, chuck and dean have done a great job, the players rave about the job the burke does with their gear, so lets get them on board for another year. |
