In a move that surprised no one, the last-place Montreal Canadiens have fired GM Pierre Gauthier.
The only element surprise in the firing is the Canadiens didn't wait another week until the season ends.
There is no shortage of really good candidates. Claude Loiselle, an assistant-GM in Toronto, would be someone I would want to talk to if I were the Canadiens, along with Chicago assistant-GM Marc Bergevin. |
