| Any thoughts on possible assignments coming this week from Milwaukee and San Antonio? Both teams have three goalies in camp including Brian Foster in SA. Wonderful feeling having the season ready to open. See ya at the game |

^^Comes in with some pretty stellar numbers in not a lot of games in some not exactly easy places. We'll have to see how that translates.

Pretty quick. Nice glove. Saved everything that the D didn't give Wheeling a freebie on. We'll need to see how he reacts when the games are for real and guys are camping out in his kitchen.

| Lliambas put on the reserve list which is new this year. No time limit and don't have to be injured. Allowed for up to three spots. My guess is was allowed as a place to stash players in anticipation of the lock out ending. Clock to the right says 2 days, 10 minutes and 7 seconds!! |

| The reserve list allows for 2 spots. It replaces the 3 day and 7 day IR. |

| @bags - Initially my thoughts on Penner were the same, but after watching him in camp and in speaking with him I think hes a better player than given credit for. I'm hoping he gets utilized the way Chuck used Benson and Johnson and he's given a chance to play a bit. The only thing I'm still cautious of is whether or not he can avoid the "bad" penalties. Then again, that was something JJ and Benson had issues with as well. |

Penner can make some contributions. When he's in the lineup, he can create space for some of the skill players and answer the bell when he has to. Those games against Chicago last year would have looked a lot different if Penner had been on the bench.
After seeing Sawyer in training camp, I think they let the right big man go. He was clearly out of his league with skating and puck handling. It was pretty glaring that he didn't belong. |
