Also, it's not that we didn't want him. It was more a matter of not having room for him. Given the pace of the games this season due to the number of AHL caliber players Penner would have struggled to keep up. He was the weakest link and got cut. If the 'Clones receive any more players, or when Luciani comes off the 21 day IR look for more cuts if the roster numbers remain the same.
Honestly, Penner would fit right in out west. It seems like every team out there has a straight up goon. Adam Huxley, Hans Benson, Trevor Hendrikx...they're all out west. Penner would have a ball out there. |
