Unfortunate that they lost, but maybe he'll get a chance to be the backup over a shaky Peter Budaj next year!

As bad as that game went for Budaj I'm a bit suprised Mayer didnt get a sniff in the 3rd. Ugly series for Montreal.

During the game they showed Mayer and the announcer said that Mayer told him that he is going overseas next year. I highly doubt he will get signed as an NHL backup, so he will be gone.
