Former IHL Cyclones defenseman Dallas Eakins is the frontrunner for the opening the Vancouver Canucks have for a head coach.
Eakins is a hot commodity this summer with Dallas and the New York Rangers also interested in talking with him. Edmonton has interest in him for an assistant coaching position.
