28 The number of days it took for ANYONE to respond to a post about Skalde coming back next year. I know this team went to the semi finals last year but I'm still not totally on board. When I see a team come out every game giving me three periods of play each night, I'll give him his dues. As for the AHL, like our players I would love to see him get an AHL chance. I just don't think he is ready yet. This year he needs to work on giving us a team that plays as hard in the 1st period as they do in the 3rd. We can't keep digging holes and trying to slip out. |

Guess you didn't have a vote Bags for ECHL Coach of the Year or else he certainly wouldn't have won it. |

Yes that's true but I did see an improvement this last year compared to the first year. When he first came here the team was more wanting to rough house it than play smart hockey. If he can get the team to give him full effort the whole game, then he will be ready to take a shot at the AHL. Yelling at the linesmen is one thing, but sometimes he needs to turn the table and sit a few players who aren't giving the effort needed. Like I said, I wish him all the luck at moving up, just feel he still has things to learn at this level. |

He'll be a coach in the AHL sooner than later. :) |

Rumor from a few days ago is that Coach Skalde is being mentioned for the Adirondack Phantoms opening. The AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers. |

The Phantoms job being open would no doubt be news to former IHL Cyclones head coach Terry Murray, who is the current head coach of the Flyers AHL affiliate. |

Kevin, you really are a fool. I admit I was not a big Skalde supporter at the beginning but to say "good riddance" to a guy who won a division title, got to the conference finals, and did it with a revolving door lineup makes you look like a moron. Guess the shoe fits.
Do us all a favor Kevin...just shut up.
With that said, I'm hoping if the rumors are true that we can get someone in place quickly. almost midway through July! |

Management must like him as seen by his recent contract extension. The other coaches must like him as seen by his recent selection as Coach of The Year, Others higher up than the ECHL must like him if he is being considered for an AHL job. Too bad his career will be ruined because a few fans who have tons of experience evaluating pro hockey coaches don't agree |
