Great game last night for the Clones. As usual, no power play but Houser showed he's not far from a starting AHL job. Question- does ECHL mean "Extra Casual Hockey League" ! Poor Luciani is the most physical Clone and spends 4 minutes in the box for it. Two years ago neither hit draws a penalty. Still don't like the effort to clear out of your zone even if it causes an icing penalty. Sometimes it's better to stop play then keep letting opponents shoot on your goal. If we can keep these players for a few games, maybe interaction will be more instinctive. Love my new posting description !
The forwards are proving me wrong lately. LOL. 7 goals in the last 2 games between them.
The Aronson goal was a pretty one. Tic tac toe passing and a nice finish by the dman. Aronson really seems to be adept at knowing when to become part of the play in the offensive zone. The Almeida goal from Shaw was also a nice one.
Houser is caught in a numbers game or he'd be in the AHL right now. He's only 21 and has plenty of time to refine his game. He'll escape the ECHL for good soon enough.
