San Antonio has traded Adam Brace to Bridgeport for D - Mike Dalhuisen who is currently playing in Stockton. He was assigned to us.

G - Scott Darling was sent down to us from Milwaukee as well.

With both Reed and Wysopal missing, some help on the blueline will be nice. Dalhuisen is putting up ok numbers for a dmen although he has a minus rating on the season.

Brace came to the Cyclones with a lot of potential that he never seemed to reach. Sure he's put up 21 points but he's also gone -11. I think guys like brushbacher and Nugent can, at the very least, combine to make up those offensive numbers, and at this point have proven to be a little more defensively responsible.

While this helps the depth of the defense, the lose of Brace might create some questions up front, especially considering that Jeremie Malouin looks to be out for awhile with what appears to be a pretty bad lower body injury. Hopefully Shalla and Almeida can get healthy and shore things up a bit.

I was surprised to see Caveney released. He showed some promising offensive skill. Must have been a roster space move, but I thought Craig would have been the one to go.
