Scott Darling and 6'3 217# RW Zach Budish were re-assigned to the Cyclones today. |

Lets hope Darling sticks around. Would be great to have him for the run and the playoffs although after being up in AHL for the entire season you've got to wonder where his head might be. |

Yeah, Darling would be great to have in a playoff run. But do you really think his head will be in the wrong place? If so - you are CRAZY. I would bet that would be added motivation. |

You would think that he would be here for the long haul IF Rinne has no complications after his rehab stint with Milwaukee. Nashville & Milwaukee have a plethora of goalies (Rinne, Dubynk, Hutton, Hellberg, Mazanec, & Darling) that's actually 1 too many with 2 in NHL 2 in AHL and Darling here, so a trade is possible with 1 I guess. |

Back to your old ways I see Psych. Never said I thought he would be unmotivated--just asked the question which is a logical question to ask given his long time and good play in the AHL. I appreciate your thoughtful and well studied response that I must be CRAZY. At least your mother must like you |

I have to agree with you dbc but we have one thing going for us-the time of the season. Darling is a veteran around long enough to know going into the playoffs a steady diet of ECHL games would be better than backup duty on the AHL bench. By the way, Milwaukee and San Antonio are fighting for the last playoff spot. Hellberg could be the man coming down at the end of the season with the now play ready Darling returning for the AHL playoffs as the backup if they make it. I know how you feel w/ Psych constantly picking on your comments. I have Donny Hockey as my board shadow ! |

Players know the numbers game, and understand when they're called up to the higher levels it's primarily due to injury or recall and when those injured or on recall return, they're likely going back down. They might be disappointed to be sent back, but it's rarely a surprise. |
