I saw this on the news this morning:

We all know that the arena needs some updating but my concern is adding the 1300 seats. The concourse can barely deal with crowds as they approach 10k and don't even get me started on the nights when they put 12k+ in the building. |

| They put 13K in the building when we won the cup in 2010.... and I bet all of you had problems in some way with people crowding and pushing and shoving.... and they want to throw in more seats??? Jeebus! |

But seriously guys more people = more money for the franchise. It may be uncomfortable at times but its good for the team so its worth it, besides they averaged just over 4,200 ppl in the reg season, its not like all games will be stacked & packed.
On another note, I suspect they want more seats to try to bring the NCAA Basketball tournament to town. |

| This is a necessary thing for the arena. The concourses clearly are an issue, but aside from building a whole new facility, I'm not sure how that could be handled. Clearly the operators know something we dont't - there is some sort of industry standard now that the Bank Arena isn't meeting, and it's loosing business as a result of it. On the other hand, when it comes to arena renovations, $650,000 isn't a whole lot of money so it's a question of whether or not they are doing enough. |

| Don't get wrong, I'm all for improvements to the facility and agree that more people mean more money which is good all the way around. My contention is that if there isn't also improvements to how those extra people can move throughout the building it's going to create more issues than it solves. |

Simple addition that really makes a difference-cup holders for every
seat. We all have lost at least one beer or soda to being kicked over
on the floor. Another great addition would be the box office on the
EAST side by the parking lot. Make the West side the secondary and the
East the primary entrance. |
