"Habs just lost Huet for at least a week according to some very early reports." This if from the Bulldogs message board so I don't know how accurate the info is (it's like some of the rumors that get started on this web site) but they're speculating that Halak is going to be the one that gets the call from HAM to MTL which leaves an opening for Cedrick in HAM...
while I was typing this post it was announced on the Cyclones website that Ceddy has been recalled...

there goes the season...ceddy was not the goalie that was supposed to get called up. now we have to deal with dov "i just gave up another goal" grummet-morris.

| Good luck to Cedrick but without him i am less than confident in our goalie situation (tho i can't really comment on Ben's abilities since i haven't seen him play yet). as others have stated Dov hasn't exactly looked comfortable in net....should be an interesting few weeks... |

Well, Wirll better continue the 31 goals, 50 points streak, and Lisabeth continue the 12 goals, +15 production.
We may need the extra offense. |

The "Dov" rule.If we are up by one with two minutes left,we put 5 defensemen
linked arm to arm in front of the net.If we are tied or down by one,we pull
Dov with two minutes left and go for the win.If we get the lead, bring out the
defensemen !!! |

I like that idea Bags.
I had a feeling this was coming sooner or later, it was obviously why they kept Gray around. A shame it happens now as we are on a decline and towards the end of the season. Cedrick was an amazing goalie to watch, I wish him the best of luck. |

i like the dov rule, but it if we're tied we should leave him in and play for the tie to make sure we pull at least 1pt out of the game....he usually doens't blow the close ones until the shootout.
as it stands hamilton is squarely in the calder cup playoff picture, so if Huet is out for a long time the odds that we get ceddy back is slim. hopefully Huet's injury isn't too serious and he'll be back with the Habs soon. |

| ok.. if you know me you know i like ceddy but im not sayingthis just bacause i like him...but i really dont want to have to worry about dov starting off good then droping the game in a matter of time... its just NERVE raking(sp?)... |

I remember the 91-92 season when we lost Mark Romaine at the end of the year and we
came up with Dusty Imoo for a goalie. His first game he looked horrible,but then he
settled down to give us some quality games in the end.Maybe Ben Gray will step up or
maybe Cedrick not in the background will let Dov rise up to the level I think he can
be. Yes I've made jokes about him,but opening night was one of the best goaltended
games of the year.Dov can do it,he just needs his confidence back again and an early
two goal lead in his next start would help. |
