Three straight years in the West.Sure isn't fair to the larger Eastern portion of
the ECHL. How about simple rotation west-east-west... |

| makes a lot of sense to me bags, especially since the our conference out here in the east has more teams, like you pointed out. maybe is has something to do with promoting the league out west with the thought of expansion, or maybe we are just getting screwed. |

| All Star games are expensive to host and not every team is willing to do it. If the only teams that step up and volunteer are in the West, what choice does the league have? |

| i think that one of the teams near us should host one then for example if dayton held it you can get fans from cincinnati,dayton,toledo,wheeling and a few from johnstown and maybe down south.. but out west you dont get anyone from the easter half where a lot of teams are.. maybe east side is better ;) |

my question would be, what are the costs involved to the hosting team? it seems to me that i couldn't costs too much more than opening the arena for a regular game. i wouldn't imagine that the league would make the host team pay travel and lodging for all the players...that wouldn't be practical for any team.
i agree with dis-lexi on this one...it would be great to see dayton, or cincinnati host the game. the fan base from toledo, cincinnati, dayton, wheeling, perhaps even johnstown should be quite large. the cities are a short flight from south, and fairly accessable from the west....it just makes sense.
there are 3 teams down in the carolina's that would have similar logistics if they where to host...and who wouldn't want to spend a couple of days in south carolina in the middle of january.
there must be some catch involved with hosting the all-star game that keeps more teams from trying to host it. |

If I remember right,we lost out on the ECHL allstar game when we moved up to the
IHL. As much as we may want the game,my opinion is we don't deserve the allstar game
until we can get back at least to the middle of the pack in attendance.We still need
to alternate between East and West and a Florida, South Carolina or even Dayton
seems better than all these western games. |

| I know for a fact that the host team doesn't pay travel and lodging. I agree with bags as far as attendance is concerned. If we can't fill our own house for a weekend game what makes you think we can on a Tue/Wed night?!? No matter where they host it though, attendance at the All Star game will be an issue until they decide to move it to a Friday/Saturday event. |
