i find it very sad that this was posted almost a full 24hrs before the cyclones website posted it...but the again we all know that the cyclones website is pathetic.
on a lighter note, danis injury isn't as bad as they thought and he is listed as day to day.

it looks like huet is out for the remainder of the regular season in montreal, so i'm guessing ceddrick will be in hamilton for awhile, but if danis can get healthy maybe we can at least get dov back so he can back up ben. if danis is going to be out for awhile, brian gratz is starting to look pretty good, provided that wheeling actually released him and didn't just put him on waivers as a favor to us on our road trip to trenton. |

| i'd still like to have ceddy or dov back. during the pre-game chuck said ben was a little "dinged" up. if something were to happen to ben, we'd really be out of luck. |

faster than a penalty being called on the Cyclones !The goalie looks like

| it looks like cuppet was signed only as an emergency back up, probably just for the trip tp new jersey. who knows if escobedo will last more than the weekend. he had apparently been working on wall st. in new york before we called him. chuck said in the pre-game show that quality defensemen were hard to find out west, so escobedo might stick through the california trip. i wouldn't be surprised, however, if cuppet is gone on sunday. |

| he would probably sign an emergency back-up from out west. there is no point in paying the travel expenses to fly a guy, that is probably not going to play, out to california. it's the same reason that the emergancy back-ups from the cincinnati area, like john smith, usually only make road trips that don't involve a hotel stay. it is something that most teams do. if you watch the transactions when a team is on a long road trip with just 1 regular goalie, you will usually see a long list of added and deleted emergency goalies. |

in California.He has had multiple stints with Stockton as their "Emergency backup"
I still think Cuppet is going to the west coast unless Dov can get back.I don't
find anywhere a mention of "emergency backup" like always appeared with John Smith |

Rule number 1 when you don't have a minor league team to pull players from-
Sign one goaltender for yourself that you know will be there the whole season.
Maybe he's a nobody who also helps in ticketing,but you need one you can stash
in the cupboard for just this reason.Las vegas has Marc Magliarditi just for this
reason. |

i agree with you bags, we need to have someone we can count on to be around for the long haul. i guess that's why chuck kept ben gray around. i'm kinda surprised that chuck let dov go this time. i know chuck has said that he'll never hold a player back from being called up, but sometimes you just have to say "enough is enough, i still have to have players that can win HERE!"
last night dov got the start for hamilton, played 65mins of shout-out hockey, stopping 36 shots....until the shoot-out where he was scored on by all 4 shooters. dov grumet-morris, still 0 for a bunch in shoot-outs, not to mention the last goalie i'd want in net in a shoot-out.
