Does everybody feel good again (until another AHL team calls)about our goalies.
Dov looked solid Friday night including the impossible shoot-out win and Cedrick
is Cedrick! These last two home games for Dov I see him playing "closer" to the
ice and he is going down and making the stop,not just trying to stick it away.He
still seems to me to be weak with his glove,almost like his hand is hurt or he has
a new glove that he is not familiar with. Since every game is needed,I would like
to see a two game Cedrick,one game Dov rotation for the rest of the year.Any one
else? |

| i think the cedrick 2, dov 1 rotation would be great, maybe even 3 to 1. although chuck has some kind of loyalty to dov that i don't really understand so we will most likely see the regular 1 game rotation. |

i don't like the back and forth that chuck seems to be so fond of. it didn't work in november so why would it work now?
with cedrick playing every night (while dov was in the "A")the team went on some incredible streaks. granted the team continued to win while Cedrick was in Hamilton, but at least from memory not quite as consistently.
furthermore i think cedrick gives the team a chance to win every night. as for dov...there's just something that makes me uncomfortable, especially if the team gets down a goal.
therefore my vote goes to cedrick as the number one. and when he needs a night off (like 3rd game in 3 days or something) give dov the start.

I had to open my big mouth and say the goalies-both Cedrick and
Dov were looking good.Then along comes tonight and Dov decides to
take a stroll in overtime! I pray that Cedrick is in goal both
Friday and Saturday. Let's hear it for Irish-Baker and his first
pro goal tonight. I haven't seen any glaring mistakes and he does
seem to be hustling on the ice. It would be good to keep him around
for the remainder of the season.At this point I see Dov in the ECHL
next year and Cedrick in the AHL probably as a backup.Concentration
and glove work still is Dov's biggest weaknesses. |
