I generally listen to the "new" radio station Max FM & in the morning, the news coverage/updates are given by Channel 19's Dan Carroll. To make a long story short, Mr. Carroll said absolutely nothing this morning about the Cyclones. So I fired off an e-mail to the general manager of Channel 19. I have received a response back & it says in part: "I have already sent an e-mail to our news director to make sure we give them more than adequate coverage". I will bring the e-mail tonight to the game if anyone wants to see it, come to the fan club's booth.

Ftorek's Last Second Goal Gives Cyclones 1-0 Win

FAIRBORN, Ohio - Cincinnati Cyclones veteran Sam Ftorek's goal with 1:42 left in regulation was the lone score in a 1-0 win over the Dayton Bombers Wednesday night at the Nutter Center. Goaltender Cedrick Desjardins stopped all 32 shots he faced in collecting his second shutout of the postseason.
The Cyclones have won all five games in the postseason, the only remaining team in the ECHL not to have lost a playoff game so far. Cincinnati holds a two-games-to-none lead in the best-of-seven series to determine the North Division playoff champion. The winner of this series will meet the winner of the South Division final for the American Conference title. Texas and Florida are tied at a game apiece in that series.
The first period was scoreless, with each team receiving two power lay chances. The shots on goal favored Dayton by a 13-10 count.
The second period also wound up scoreless, with Dayton having three power play chances, to Cincinnati's two. The shots on goal favored the Bombers in the frame, 13-8.
Ftorek netted his goal at 18:18, skating the puck out of the left corner behind the Dayton goal. As Sam hit the bottom of the faceoff circle to the left of Dayton goalie Adam Berkhoel he spun from 15 feet away and fired the puck past his glove hand. It was Ftorek's 50th professional playoff game tonight.
Cincinnati has won more playoff games (five) in this postseason than it had in its other three playoff trips combined (four). The Cyclones are the lowest seeded team remaining in the Kelly Cup playoffs.
The scene shifts to Cincinnati for game three which will be played at U.S. Bank Arena on Friday, April 27 at 7:30pm and game four happens on Saturday, April 28 at 7:30pm, also at U.S. Bank Arena.
