We were down at the Jungle Kats game last night(7-14) and my favorite
complaint comes up. The crowd size was 4500 and it was a solid crowd.
My problem is the Cyclones had crowds as good if not better and the size
comes up as 3100,3400 or maybe 3800! The "Section 60" end had maybe 150
scattered around. The other end had probably 700 to 900 and the sides
had 1200 to 1500 each. My math counts that roughly 4000. Who do the Cyclones
count because that crowd would have been called 3350 by past standards.
I'm all for honest counts but maybe they need to follow the old NFL system
of "no show" counts for tickets sold but didn't attend.
As for the game, the team is horrible,too many LONG BREAKS during the game
for activities that should only be done between quarters or half time and
some fans that push noise makers to the limit.How about an idiot with a cow
bell ringing it constantly BEFORE THE GAME!!! Add the kids with the "snapper"
noisemakers and you head is spinning when the game is bad.After two moves we
did find a neutral noise area and everything went fine until the very end when
the running wild 12 year old boys came running through the aisles kicking empty
bottles and cups and generally being pain in the butts.
Okay I'll go take my Geritol but was anyone else there? |
